Biomes of the world, there are eight different biomes you can find in the world all of them offer different animals
and plant you’ll find there their all different but similar in a way. The biomes are desert, tundra, taiga, tropical
rainforest, grassland, temperate forest, salt water, and fresh water environments. These are the eight biomes of the
world,
The first biome I’m going to talk about is the desert. The desert is a very hot place that gets cool during the winters.
Desserts are found every were but mostly the south west part of the United States. The plants you find there are
mostly plants that don’t need much water like shrubs, cacti, and small grasses. The animals you will find in a desert
are spiders, scorpions, snakes, road runners, and coyotes. Two animal relationships for a desert are adaptation,
adapting to the conditions in a desert to survive. The other one is competition two coyotes competing for alpha male.
The second land biome I will talk about is the tundra. The tundra is the excact opposite of a desert its temperatures
are very cold and the summers are cool. Tundra’s are found at the tops and bottoms of earth. The plants you find in
tundra are mostly fungus but you could also find some different types of moss there, and also some bearberry plants.
The animals you will find are caribou, arctic fox; polar bears. the animals found in tundra have heavy fir to keep
them warm through the freezing winters. Two animal relationships for tundra are competition when two moose
compete for alpha male, the second one is territoriality when a wolf marks a territory as his own.
The next biome I will explain is the taiga which is found all threw Canada and also in the middle part of Europe. It
and the tundra are very cold; the taiga receives about 80 centimeters of rain a year. The plants you will find are
mostly tall trees with no leaves, and you will find some spruce trees, and some jack pine trees. The animals that can
be found here are caribou, moose, and black bears, and even the bald eagle lives in the taiga. Two animal
relationships for a taiga are competition are two bald eagles fighting for a mate, and a black bear marking a territory
as his own.
The next biome I will discuss is the temperate forest, the temperate forest is found on the east coast of the United
States, it has very cold winters with nice and warm summers. The temperate forest gets about 100-150 centimeters
of rain a year. The plants that can be found here are mostly tall trees like maple trees, and the white oak, you can
also find small plants like bushes and many different types of flowers. The animals you find in the temperate forest
are deer, squirrels, skunks, and weasels. Two animal relationships for a temperate forest are competition two
squirrels competing for a mate, and predator prey a fox eating a squirrel.
The next land biome I will explain is the grassland. Grasslands are found in southern Africa. It is very hot and has
winters that range in the 70’s to the 80’s making it a nice winter. Grasslands receive 50-80 centimeters of rain each
year. The plants you will find in the grasslands are many grasses, and bushes, and some whistling thorn bushes. The
animals you can find in the grasslands are lions, giraffes, and zebras. The animals are a little exotic as compared to
some of the other biomes. Two animal behaviors are competition two lions fight for a mate. And commensalism a
bird eating bugs out of a hippos teeth.
The last land biome I will discuss is the tropical forest which is the home to some of the rarest plants and animals on
earth, and is found mostly all around the equator. The tropical rainforest is very hot and receives heavy rain. The
plants you can find in the tropical rain forest are bamboo, palm trees, and coconut trees. The animals that can be
found here are parrots, monkeys, and sloths. Two animal relationships are competition two panthers fighting for
food, and commensalism the bird lives in a tree and the tree is protected by the bird.
The next biome I will explain is a water biome. The fresh water biomes are located in land, and are lakes, rivers,
swamps, and lagoons. The plants you can find are algae, duct weed, lily pads and cattails. The organism that you
will find are mostly fishes but you can also find ducks, toads, frogs, and insects. Two animal relationships are
competition two sharks fighting for food, and commensalism a bird eatin leches out of an alligators teeth.

The next and final biome you will find is salt water environment, and these are all found outland (all of our oceans
are salt water biomes) the plants you will find here in a salt water environment are plankton, seaweed, and algae.
The animals you will find in a saltwater environment are mostly fishes, but you will also find sharks, dolphins, and
also whales. The two relationships for an ocean are two sharks fighting for food, and commensalism a fish eating
bugs off the whale.
