Brooktondale Camp and Retreat Center Bathroom Staff Job Expectations: Provide clean bathrooms for camp guests Camp Manager or Director should make known which bathrooms workers will be responsible for that week Suggested Employees: 2-4 Bathroom Workers (2 for Men’s Rooms, 2 for Women’s Rooms) Bathroom Worker: Suggested Schedule: Morning check Afternoon check Nightly cleaning Supplies: Gloves Disinfectant Spray Window Cleaner Bin Liners/Garbage Bags Sponges/Cleaning Cloths Toilet Bowl Cleaner Shower Cleaner Keys to toilet paper and paper towel dispensers Key to Bathroom Closets (new bathrooms) Soap (to fill dispenser) Paper Towels (to fill dispenser) Toilet Paper (to fill dispenser) Broom Dust Pan Mop Mop Bucket Real-A-Peel Cleaner Sanitary Disposal Bags (for women’s bathrooms) Plunger Toilet Brush Basic Cleaning Ritual: Check toilet paper, soap and paper towel dispensers, refill if needed o In the women’s bathroom, check the disposal baskets in each stall, remove any brown bag that has been used and replace with a new one. Gloves Suggested Check toilets. Flush or plunge, if needed. Clean each toilet bowl with a bowl cleaner and toilet brush. Gloves Suggested Clean toilet surface with disinfectant spray and some type of cloth or sponge. Wear Gloves Wash sink area with disinfectant spray and a sponge or cloth. Wear Gloves Wash mirrors with window cleaner and a paper towel. Check showers for cleanliness. o Rinse by turning on shower. o If needed, wash down the shower with a shower cleaner and sponge. Wear Gloves Empty the trash and place full bags on the trash wagon or in a dumpster. Gloves Suggested Sweep the floor. Mop the floor. o Fill the mop bucket with hot water. o Use reel-a-peel cleaner (or something similar) in the water.
