and learned how their predecessors conveyed their message to the public.
While very few of us are lucky enough have been born with a natural talent to speak in public without
some fear or to have the resources of a President, there is a solution.

Toastmasters Club, can quickly help you to improve your public speaking skills and increase your selfconfidence with a practical learn by doing approach.
We provide a fun and friendly learn-by-doing environment that enables you to develop your skills in a
comfortable, supportive environment.

About our Club
Do you feel like a deer trapped in headlights when you‘re asked a question and you don’t have the
answer? Afraid you’ll freeze, choke or faint during a speech? Is using visual aids about as much fun as a
trip to the dentist? If so, join us at London Public Speakers
Some of the skills you will learn are
 How to think on your feet.
 Improve your ability to present prepared speeches and how to use language effectively.
 How to give constructive feedback.
Come to our Toastmasters meeting to learn platform-tested techniques. Create meaningful gestures
that add impact to your speech. Improve your use of visual aids (PowerPoint slides and flipcharts)

You’ll do this in a supportive and fun atmosphere, where everyone is willing you to succeed. And you’ll
earn globally recognised awards on the way.
London Public Speakers was established in June 2011. We are an open club, and welcome all comers
regardless of age, gender, race and experience. The more diverse our members, the richer our
meetings.
Meetings are learn-by-doing sessions in which you hone your speaking and leadership skills in a friendly
atmosphere, supported by the Club’s members.
How to get involved
 Join the meeting as a guest and get the ball rolling.
 Enjoy the meeting, and when you feel you are ready, join in.

Fees
Toastmasters are a non-profit organisation. There are costs associated with the TM international
and running the club, which is paid as subscriptions. Receipts are issued for payment
New joining fee (Once off to join Toastmasters International) £25.00
Subscriptions for our Club £30.00 for 6 Months or £60.00 for a year (Year Runs October to
October, 6 Months is April to Oct, Oct to April).
