SAC Administration – 10/5/15 minutes approved. Christina Koppin volunteered
for 2016-2017 SAC Committee Chair
Administrative Report
 School Open House scheduled for 11/5 – 10 people identified to give
tours. SAC representative to meet families at conclusion of tour
 Faroh Scanner/Active Shooter by State Police (Mr. & Mrs. Gaul)– Training
on the scanner/Active Shooter to be provided to staff – date TBD
 Honor Roll Ceremony – School will continue with current ceremony
program. This year’s ceremony to also include Spirit Award (Excellence
Service and Going Above & Beyond)
 Parent Teacher Conferences – Scheduled during week prior to Fall Break –
preventing families from skipping teacher conferences. Possibility for
future conferences to start mid-day after a 1:00 pm dismissal.
 Fall Break – school year 2016-2017, possibility of 1 week break and
extending school year by 2-3 days. SAC was in favor.
 Student of the Month Lunch with Principal – Well received – once
monthly, one student per grade will be chosen by the teachers.
 School Goals - M, E, R – goals will be decided by year end, goals are
aligned with accreditation. Advanced Education – SLDM measured
against curriculum.
Policy
 Committee approved Pre-K 1 (T, TH) and Pre-K 2 (M,W,F) – both programs
feed into Kindergarten. Cost and program hours TBD. Both programs are
accredited.
Budget
 Current enrollment is 473 students – Capacity is 490
Marketing
 Open House – folders with school info will be handed out during open
house.
 200 flyers handed out to multiple Pre-K Schools, as well as Boo Bash
 St. Elizabeth Anne Seton – SLDM Open House ad placed in bulletin
 Kristi – reaching out to “Young Mothers” group at St. John Vianney
 Maggie Finalized Land’s End Logo – New Uniforms available end of Nov.
 SLDM Web Site – to launch by Open House
 Recognition of Jackie Adams – story placed in Fishers Current

SLDM Top Ten Survey – 30-40% response
Fundraising – Maggie to create a list of select parents, currently
coordinating timing & efforts of donations, SLDM moving annual
campaign fund – also can have matching fund with Annual Fund.
 Spring Survey to be condensed
Strategic Planning
 Strategic Sub-Committee still needs to meet – Plan to meet in Dec.
SAC Activities
 Doug to represent SAC during the Welcome Dinner for new parishoners.
 SAC members will be present during the SLDM Open House
 Spring Survey – condensed version, timeframe of survey TBD.
