Clarify that "fairly and rather" are called "Mitigators".

Define what Mitigator is?

Recognize what Mitigator functions in English.

Use fairly and rather + adjectives

Know when to use "Fairly and rather" in their speech.




Underline adjectives.
Find out what mitigators add to the adjectives.
Fill the gaps using "fairly and rather" and suitable adjective.
Compose sentences.

Rather and fairly are" Metegators".
We use them to emphasize the adjectives, and
make them less strong.
 Rather is used sometimes for :
1. Negative Ideas
Ex: He is not honest. He is rather deceitful.
2. Positive Ideas, but unusually or surprisingly
happens.
Ex: It is a rather good pen. Where did you find
it?
 Fairly is weaker than rather.it is not very good,
but fine.
My dress is fairly fit, but I prefer a comfy dress.
