Evaluation
1. Evidence of the product/solution:
2. Evaluate the product/solution:
This product doesn’t really solve the problem because it’s not completed. No, it doesn’t meet
the design specification. It has smooth edges, a theme, and it does function. However, it doesn’t
have at least 3 different colors so it doesn’t attract any attention. The product could be
improved by being painted so it can be completed.
Testing Questions: (answered by my friend)
Q: What do you like most about it and why?
A: I like the theme of cars and the drawing of a street because it’s suitable for little children and
will solve the problem.
Q: What do you like least about it and why?
A: I don’t like that it barely has any color because it seems too dull and boring.
Q: How could it be improved?
A: If it was painted or colored.
Q: Does this seem entertaining and why?

A: Well, the idea seems entertaining, but the automata isn’t that entertaining because it barely
has color and so it makes it seem boring rather than entertaining although the idea is
entertaining.
3. Evaluate your performance:
Investigate
At this stage I think I did great because I researched a lot making sure to know what I’m writing
about, although I did start out knowing nothing. I didn’t just state the problem, but I went into
lots of details and I explained a lot. I made sure I mentioned some tools I’ll be needing and how
they can be used, plus some safety rules and just general facts about them. This stage could
have been improved if I had written a general statement, and if I had included more bandsaw
rules. In addition to that, I should’ve put an MLA bibliography.
Design
I think I did very well at the design stage because I tried my best with the designs although I’m
terrible at designs and creativity. I also wrote a well detailed description for each of my 3
designs making sure to explain everything and I compared each design to the design
specification making sure to go into detail and I analyzed them well. Also at the end I compared
the chosen design to the design specifications making sure to explain why I chose it over the
other designs. I think I could’ve improved this stage if I had explained more in the description
part.
Plan
I think I did terrible at this stage. Firstly, I didn’t complete it before submitting it so that wasn’t
smart. Also I really didn’t know what I was doing because it was the first time I’m doing such a
project, so I really didn’t know what to write for the steps and for the sizes. For the same reason
I didn’t know how long it would take me to do each part of the automata and I didn’t know what
part to start with, so I guessed. I think I could’ve improved at this stage if I had researched to
know more about how to make an automata and I should’ve completed it.
Create
I think I did well at this stage. I tried really hard with making the automata even though I felt like
giving up a lot (not that it would’ve made a difference because I’m forced to do it), and I got hurt
a lot. Due to the fact that it was the first time doing such a thing, I messed up a lot and didn’t
know what I was doing the first 3 lessons. I didn’t get to finish the automata fully because it took
me way too long to finish because of all the mistakes I kept making. I think I could’ve improved
this stage if I was more organized time wisely.

Attitudes in Technology
I don’t think my attitude in technology was great. I treated the equipment well and I was well
organized during class time and I didn’t waste time in class at all. However, I did submit things
late and I didn’t complete everything. I think I could’ve improved by being more organized and
submitted everything on time.
For the next project, I have 3 goals. The first goal is to make sure to submit everything on time.
The second goal is to make sure to complete my work by organizing my schedule ahead of time
and to use the time at home wisely rather than depending on the lesson times. The third goal is
to make sure I explain things more and go into lots of detail and to make sure to read the
criteria before I start working.
4. Evaluate the impact of the product/solution
The Impact to the Society
This product will hopefully affect the intended user, my cousin, positively because when he
plays with this, he will not spend his time playing on electronics that aren’t good for him or his
health because of all the radiation. So, when he gets this product he will find something newer
to play and be a source of entertainment for him rather than his PSP and other electronics. This
might also trigger an interest to other sources of entertainment that aren’t electronic and he’ll
realize that the non-electronic toys are better somehow. Not only will it affect the intended
user, but it will affect other people in the society. For example when my cousin leaves his
electronics and play with this product, his brothers will want to do the same and so will his
cousins. This will have a positive effect on their parents because they won’t have to be that
worried about their children’s health and they’ll tell their relatives so they can get something
similar for their children and it will keep passing on and on.
Impact on the Environment
This impacts my environment because when my cousin is sleeping over to spend time with my
brother and little sister, they won’t be as noisy as they usually are when they’re playing on the
computer, PlayStation, and other electronics. Also I won’t be worried about them or their health
as much because I know they won’t be playing with electronics they the way they used to, so I
know they’re safer than before.
After my product is no longer wanted, it will not be used anymore and will either be thrown
away or given to be recycled. It depends on what the people want to do with it. However, I’d
rather have it recycled instead so we’re not wasting equipment.
This product affects the living environment of the society because when my little cousin is safe
and less noisy; his brothers will be the same as well. Therefore his parents and everyone will be
satisfied rather than angry with them as we usually are. Also the product is replacing
technology-made sources of entertainment which have great effect on the brain because of the

radiation and cause lots of diseases and affect the heart rate. So my cousins, family and relatives
will be happy, and so will the living environment of the society in general.
