Anglophone South District Offices in Millidgeville
Wednesday, October 28th Milk Money for November is due. $8.00
Wednesday, October 29 PSSC Meeting at 6:00 pm in the Library
Terry Fox Foundation
On Wednesday, September 30th, students and staff will take part in the Terry Fox walk after recess.
We will be collecting toonies for Terry so we are asking students to bring a toonie by Wednesday.
Terry Fox believed that if every Canadian donated to find a cure for cancer we could make a
difference. Help us keep Terry’s dream alive.
PSSC
The members of the PSSC Committee for 2015-2016 are Beth Garnett, Angela Martin-Dallon, Shannon
Robertson, Karen Boyle-MacDonald, Tara Parlee, Keely Chase, Ashley Salesse, Krystal Snodgrass,
Amanda McLure, Mr. Allaby and Ms. Matthews. PSSC members are invited to Milledgeville North
School on Tuesday, October 27th for an orientation session for new and returning members.
CROSS COUNTRY
Many students from Grades 3 – 5 have been taking part in the Cross Country races at Fisher Lakes.
There will be a final meet at River View Park at Simms Corner on Wednesday, October 7th
Start time 3:45. This event will go ahead rain or shine.
Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the events and must stay and supervise their
children.
SCHOOL PICTURES
Picture day is on Wednesday, October 7th. This year our pictures will be taken by Lifetouch Studios.
Proofs will be sent home once they are received from the photographer. All ordering options will be
listed in your proof package.
DESIGN A POSTCARD CONTEST
We are looking for a new design for our school postcard. Students may submit an entry to the contest
on an index card provided by their teacher. Entries should contain the school colors, royal blue and
yellow as well as our school name. Postcards are due on Wednesday, October 14th. The winning
postcard will be announced at our assembly on October 23rd.
HALLOWEEN
Direction from the District Office dictates that parties will be held only in the last hour of the school
day. Teachers will be sending home information later in the month. Classes will be holding their
Halloween parties on Friday, October 30th. Students in K-2 may wear Halloween costumes in the
afternoon only. 3-5 students are invited to wear orange and black for the day.
HOME AND SCHOOL NEWS
Home and School had their first meeting, so nice seeing everyone out! The next meeting will take place on
Tuesday, October 20, 7pm in the library. We will be accepting new members at this time. There is a $5
membership fee given to the Provincial Home and School Board. This gives you the ability to vote.
We are gathering pricing and samples on school t-shirts and hoodies to sell for fundraising. Prices look
