We decided to use the projector to display a powerpoint so that the lesson can be easily taught to all of the students. Due to lack of sophisticated technological equipment, many of the activities in this lesson are either involving the powerpoint, or using highlighters and paper. Through our research, we learned that classroom participation is a big component in successfully learning English as a second language. In this lesson, we encourage class participation through an interactive powerpoint, and also allow collaboration with other students during the activities. Furthermore, we will be introducing new vocabulary while teaching grammatical basics. The Works Cited that follows provides the resources used in creating this lesson plan.
