Come and join in on the fun as we find our way through our Christmas Scavenger Hunt to southern Wisconsin and into Illinois! Our list of items will be handed out so we know what we need to be on the look-out for! At each of our stops a Miles of Smiles clue will be hiding – find it before anyone else and you will gain a point to be add to your scavenger list! As we travel our Prize Patrol will be busy also handing out lots of prizes to our various winners – everyone is a winner on the Christmas Scavenger Hunt tour! The first place we will be visiting is the Dancing Horse Theatre in Delavan, WI. What do you get when you put together delicious food, beautiful horses and Christmas – why it would be the Dancing Horse Christmas show! And yes, the horses really can dance! The next question is; what does the talking birds have to say about Christmas – we will find that out here as well! After this fun afternoon it is time to hit the road to keep up with Santa! Along the way we will stop for an included dinner before arriving in Peoria, IL. Winter Wonderland is what we find in Peoria – get ready for the most spectacular Christmas lights that you could ever want to see! Did you ever see a full size fire truck but made out of Christmas lights, or the Budweiser Horse and Wagon also made out of Christmas lights – trust me, you won’t believe your eyes! After a day of dancing horses, talking birds and spectacular Christmas lights we will do a drive-by of a live nativity on our way to the Holiday Inn & Suites in Peoria our home away from home for one night. Bring your suit if you like water as we have a beautiful pool area to enjoy this evening. Sunday, December 6, 2015 Rise and shine to a surprise under your door – yes another clue for everyone! Our day begins with an included hot breakfast buffet at our hotel! Next we pack our suitcases, load up our motorcoach and head over to the Bass Pro Shop. A store that has something for everyone along with really cool animal mounts and get this, an 80 pound blue catfish named Bonnie! It is just a fun place to shop and look and maybe find another clue or two! Done shopping and looking, well it is time to head toward Chicago the windy city! Stopping for our included lunch on the way to the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago! This museum is not the typical museum – we could spend a whole day here if we wanted too. The first area to visit will be the Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Lights! A 45 foot tree takes center stage in the rotunda decked out in more than 30,000 lights! Other areas of the museum to visit are the Fairy Castle, a Coal Mine, a Submarine, Numbers in Nature - “A Mirror Maze” just to name a few exhibits that we can check out while we spend the afternoon here. As we depart the museum we travel north into the city of Chicago traveling along Lake Michigan to the Lincoln Park Zoo! How about that – even the animals in the zoo get to enjoy Christmas with Chicago’s own Christmas lights display! More than 2million lights changes the zoo into an Enchanted Wonderland! After another fun day of shopping and exploring, the conclusion of our Christmas Scavenger Hunt is getting closer as we check in at the Quality Inn & Suites in Schaumburg, IL. We will have our included dinner this evening at our hotel following our check-in.
