can help!
Clemson University subscribes to the Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN) as part
of the InfoEd system. SPIN is a database of federal, state, and private funding
opportunities. Faculty and staff who create an advanced research profile and set up keyword
searches can receive weekly email updates with listings of funding opportunities that most
closely match their areas of research. Initial setup takes only a few minutes to complete.
If you would like to set up a SPIN profile, please email Clarissa Williams for instructions.
Clarissa is also available for individual consultations with faculty or staff who would like
assistance with setup. You can reach Clarissa at clarisw@clemson.edu, or 864-656-1440.

The Schulman and Bullard Article Prize
The Schulman and Bullard Article Prize
The Association of Print Scholars invites applications for the first annual Schulman and Bullard

mission of the Association of Print Scholars, articles can feature aspects of printmaking across
any geographic region and all chronological periods. Articles will be evaluated by a panel of
advanced scholars for the author's commitment to the use of original research and the article's
overall contribution to the field of print scholarship. The Association of Print Scholars invites
nominations and self-nominations for the 2015 Schulman/Bullard Article Prize meeting the
criteria outlined below:

National Endowment for the Humanities
http://www.neh.gov/grants/public/bridging-cultures-through-film-international-topics
Description: NEH’s Division of Public Programs supports activities that engage millions of
Americans in understanding significant humanities works and ideas. The Bridging Cultures
through Film: International Topics program supports films that examine international themes and
subjects in the humanities. The films are meant to spark Americans’ engagement with the
broader world by exploring countries and cultures outside of the United States. The Division of
Public Programs encourages innovative nonfiction storytelling that presents multiple points of
view in creative formats. At the center of every NEH-funded film is a core set of humanities
ideas developed with the input of scholars, matched to imaginative formats that bring the
humanities alive for people of all ages and all walks of life. The proposed film must be analytical
and deeply grounded in humanities scholarship. It may be as short as thirty minutes or as long as
a feature-length film. We invite a wide range of approaches to international topics and themes,
such as • an examination of a critical issue in ethics, religion, literature, or history, viewed
through an international lens; • an exploration of a topic that transcends a single nation-state; • a
biography of a foreign leader, writer, artist, or historical figure; or • an exploration of the history
and culture(s) of a specific region, country, or community outside of the United States.
Deadline: June 10, 2015

National Endowment for the Humanities
http://www.neh.gov/grants/preservation/research-and-development
Description: The Research and Development program supports projects that address major
challenges in preserving or providing access to humanities collections and resources. These
challenges include the need to find better ways to preserve materials of critical importance to the
nation’s cultural heritage—from fragile artifacts and manuscripts to analog recordings and digital
assets subject to technological obsolescence—and to develop advanced modes of organizing,
searching, discovering, and using such materials. This program recognizes that finding solutions
to complex problems often requires forming interdisciplinary project teams, bringing together
participants with expertise in the humanities; in preservation; and in information, computer, and
natural science. All projects must demonstrate how advances in preservation and access would
benefit the cultural heritage community in supporting humanities research, teaching, or public
programming.
Deadline: June 25, 2015
