Wimbledon tickets have now been allocated from our draw and people contacted
individually. Some applications had to be turned down either because members had not
opted into the LTA ballot or subscriptions had not been paid on time. I hope that those
who are successful enjoy their day and others will be more successful next year!
This is the time of year when people think about playing tennis. If you know of anyone
please direct them to our website or Sarah Parr our membership secretary:

If you know that you are still not a BTM member, please contact her for help.
Locking of gates: Can we again remind all members that if you are last to leave in an
evening and there is no one in the cricket club, you must shut the main gate to the
recreation ground and secure the padlock whose code is written by the floodlight
We have had new handbooks printed to help new or recently joined members with
information about the club. These will be available this week. If you would like a copy,
then there will be spare copies in the clubhouse. Alternately, please contact our
membership secretary Sarah Parr-details above.
Club sessions will continue on Thursday evenings from 7pm and on Sunday
from 2-4pm. All welcome-come along now that the weather is improving

Junior match report:
The Junior tennis matches commenced on the 18th April. There are 9
teams involving over 40 players. Many of the players are new to team
tennis and they have all played well against tough opposition. The Under
14 Boys A team only just lost to Loughborough and similarly the Under
14 Boys B team were only just defeated by Carisbrooke whereas the
Under 16 Boys came back from a tentative start to beat Kibworth.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the Team Captains that have
voluntered to help this year. It can be a very frustrating job but the club
really appreciates your time.
Do you have a photo, bit of news or some success to share? Let me know.
