Midweek Opening Day - tomorrow, 9:30am -11:00am.
We will have some good tennis and another lovely morning tea.
Ma A couple of weeks ago we had a very good day of tennis with 12 players from Lake Pupuke. We thank the
Midweek Committee for organizing the event and all the club’s members for supporting it and their contribution
to a wonderful morning tea.

Please note:
- interclub commences the week of 21 September and runs till early April (with Xmas - late Jan off)
- Men's singles is played on Monday & Tuesday evenings
- Women's singles are played on Wednesday & Thursday evenings
- Doubles are played on Saturday (and Sunday) afternoons
- Your team will play a match each two weeks (roughly)
- You must be available to play on at least 90% of the dates your team is scheduled to play

"Winter Challenge" ... each Saturday 1pm (note the earlier start time)
The "Winter Challenge" (that was so popular the last two years) runs each Saturday afternoon at 1pm,
till the end of August (except 22 August - Howick Challenge)
We play between 1pm and 3pm on courts 2-5 (as they have the least shade on them) ... followed by
drinks (with some free nibbles)
[ If cancelled by the weather, you will be emailed by 11am Saturday ]
The format is:
- doubles competition
- suitable for any level as players are ranked within each team
- flexible participation each week so no regular commitment required
- RSVP for each Saturday by Friday noon
- each player plays 3+ matches, of 8 games each, with sudden-death deuce
- Free for members, $5 for non-members
To enter (by Sat noon): Go to the club's court-bookings website http://bookings.marshallnz.com/?id=nt and
"Log-in". (If you have forgotten your username / password, click "Forgotten your password", enter your email address
and they will be emailed to you.) Once logged in, click the "Events" tab, click the Winter Challenge fixture you
are keen on and click "RSVP" if you wish to play. You will see who else has already RSVPed.
(You can RSVP now and undo your RSVP any time later on the same webpage.)

[If you wish to play your own social tennis on Saturday afternoon, please play before 1pm or after 3pm ... else check the
court bookings before you come down (as if we get 24 players for Winter Challenge we will be taking all 6 courts).]

If the rostered date doesn't suit you, please arrange a substitute or swap dates with another on the roster.
Duty Member: Tennis balls etc are now located in storage cupboard inside clubrooms. Please return balls, board
etc to this cupboard at the end of your duty. Duty Members are to make up the board and welcome new members.
On Sunday the Duty Member is asked to bring the milk and make the morning tea. Afterwards load the dishwasher
and when the cycle is completed, please empty it. Before leaving please put out the rubbish bin - one of the
wheelie bins (the fullest) to the Kororo St kerb. Lock up clubhouse and please take laundry (towels) home for
washing.
