NUTLEY TENNIS & SQUASH CLUB
INFORMATION SHEET 2013/2014
Please read this information sheet to ensure that you are aware of everything the club
has to offer as well as a few rules and regulations.
MEMBERSHIP
The club is open to players of any standard and any age. Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March, and any
member who has not paid by 30th April will cease to be a member.
Subscriptions for Family, Adult and Student memberships may be paid by Monthly Standing Order. Please see the
attached form.

COURT BOOKING
A booking diary is kept in the clubhouse. Courts may not be booked during recognised coaching sessions and interclub matches.
JUNIORS
Juniors can use the courts whenever they are free, but as stated in our Club’s Constitution MUST be accompanied by
a responsible adult if under the age of 13 years.
For safety reasons, no children are allowed on the courts unless they are actually playing tennis or squash.
COACHING
Tennis coaching is provided by Tracy Bryant and squash coaching by Mike Tonge, two very professional and
motivated coaches.
Tracy runs an Adult session on Wednesday mornings and Junior sessions on Saturday mornings, both during termtime.

MATCHES
We are always keen to enlist new team members to represent the club in the Monday night Horam League. So if you
think you may have what it takes please do get in touch with Sarah on 07821 633808 or s.e.wilson65@gmail.com.
VISITORS
Members are encouraged to bring visitors as they are seen as potential members. Each visitor’s visit incurs a £5 fee.
This must be paid immediately using the envelopes in the clubhouse. If the visitor subsequently joins any visitor fees
paid in that membership year are deducted from the subscription.
TEA & COFFEE FACILITIES
Cordial, tea, coffee, sugar and long-life milk sachets are provided in the kitchen. There is no charge made for this but
we ask that you respect the facilities by cleaning and tidying up after yourself.
DRESS CODE
There are no strict rules about dress other than the correct footwear i.e. specific tennis trainers or non-marking soles
for squash.
TENNIS & SQUASH BALLS
Tennis balls used for inter-club matches are bought by the club. These are then placed in the clubhouse for all
members to use. These balls are to be placed back in the clubhouse after use.
Squash balls may be found in the kitchen drawer under the microwave. These are for emergencies only e.g. if your
existing ball splits whilst in play. Please replace the club’s stock as soon as you can.
SQUASH LIGHTING
No extra charge is made for the use of the squash court lights which are a major contributor to our electricity bill.
This makes us very unusual for a squash club and we ask you respect and value this by turning the lights off
immediately after use.

Members receive two discounts:

discounts. Please contact her for details.
Final Score in Uckfield and Heathfield amounting to 5% under £100 and10% over £100.
