Steven G. Feifer, DEd, ABSNP is an internationally renowned speaker and author in the field of learning disabilities, and has authored six books on learning and emotional disorders in children. He has 19 years of experience as a school psychologist, and was voted the Maryland School Psychologist of the Year in 2008, and awarded the 2009 National School Psychologist of the Year. He was also honored as the Distinguished Alumni Scholar by Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Dr. Feifer is a diplomate in school neuropsychology, and currently works as a faculty instructor in the ABSNP school neuropsychology training program. He continues to evaluate children in private practice at the Monocacy Neurodevelopmental Center in Frederick, MD, and regularly consults with numerous school districts throughout the country. Dr. Feifer has authored two tests on diagnosing learning disabilities in children, both of which are slotted to be released by PAR in 2015. Joseph R. Engler, Ph.D., NCSP is an assistant professor in the School Psychology Program at Minot State University. He received his Ph.D. from The University of South Dakota and B.A. from Minot State University. Prior to his appointment at Minot State University, he was the director of school psychology at Fort Hays State University and practiced as a school psychologist for the Tooele County School district in Tooele, UT. His research interests and publications include cognitive assessment, academic interventions, motivation and increasing parent involvement. He is currently the President-Elect for the North Dakota Association of School Psychologists. Lisa Habedank Stewart, Ph.D. currently is the Director of the School Psychology Program at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Dr. Stewart received her Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. Lisa has done research, written and consulted in the areas of data-based decision making in schools, early literacy and language development, developing multi-tiered systems of support for children in schools and preschools, program evaluation, and implementing evidence-based practice. She lives near Pelican Rapids, MN with her husband, kids, cat, dog, chickens, cows and goats.
