1. Approval of minutes from 10/9/12 meeting : Approved by consensus.
2. Proposal reviews
Animal Sciences BS-change – approved-pending addition of MA 137 to course options to fulfill Quantitative
Foundations requirement; highly recommended that students use this option
Geography BA/BS-change – will be circulated to committee for email vote when revisions are received
Add GWR course under #4, eliminate pre-requisites under #6, revision to Student Learning Outcome #3
Submission of semester-by-semester curriculum guide for both BA and BS to include UK Core
requirements, A&S College requirements, Major requirements, and elective requirements
Family Sciences Minor title change – approved
Family Sciences BS-change – will be circulated to committee for email vote when revisions are received
Remove UK 101 from curriculum plan and change degree hours in Fall-Year 1 to 15-16
Reconcile degree hours in #13 and #15 and make total degree hours to 121
Remove PHI 332 from Spring-Year 2 (does not fulfill QF requirement)
Suggestion to proposer: consider moving US Citizenship UK Core course to later in the student’s
curriculum as most US Citizenship courses are upper division
Nursing RN-BSN-change – approved
AAD 540-new – approved-pending revisions to DL form item #4: offering this course as DL will result in at least
50% of the MA in Arts Education being offered via DL (information provided by Dr. Michael Braun)
CSD 378 DL-change – approved-pending revisions to absence policy to align with University policy, students have
one week to contact instructor following absence, articulate schedule of assignment/reading due dates,
exam dates, etc.
GER 343-new (Humanities)-approved
MCL 270-change (Humanities)-approved
SPA 262-change (Humanities)-approved
TA 150-change (Arts and Creativity)-approved
3. Initial discussion of ENG BA/BS program changes and ENG Minor changes: Formally presented at next meeting.
