Lesson Study Report Guidelines
This report should address clearly and concisely the overall question, "What did
you learn as part of the Lesson Study Process?" In this essay you will prepare
detailed answers to the following guidelines and/or questions:
1. Document in detail the Lesson Study Process. Explain what
happened/what was accomplished/was decided in each of the meetings
preparatory for the teaching of the lesson.
2. Provide your observations and reflections on the lesson taught.
3. Explain what you learned about lesson planning as a result of this
process.
4. Explain revisions made to the lesson plan to make it more effective for
later teaching.
5. Include a summary paragraph which shows some evidence of reflection.
6. In an appendix, provide detailed original and revised lesson plans for the
original lesson/lessons as it would be retaught.
