Dear providers: With the mandated October 1, 2015 transition to ICD-10 around the corner, Dignity Health has developed a comprehensive educational plan to ensure that our employed and non-employed physicians and mid-levels(nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents and fellows) are prepared. One of our strategies is to provide you with a series of web-based eLearning modules that are designed for your specialty practice areas and will provide additional information around the clinical documentation specificity that will be required as we shift to ICD-10. Beginning in June, you will receive an email communication regarding your access to web-based ICD-10 eLearning. Due to the high volume of emails being sent, physicians and mid-levels will receive their information for eLearning in a staggered approach. The email will contain a link to the online training, as well as, your username and password. If you don’t receive an email by the end of June, please send an email request to ICD-10@DignityHealth.org. Providers are asked to complete the following by September 15th, 2015: Review the ICD-10 Overview for Physicians—Clinical Module, which will take about 60 minutes to complete. Choose a minimum of six modules that relate to your specialty from a total of 21 body and disease-specific categories. Each module will take about 30 minutes to complete. The attachment has a list of the eLearning modules as well as specialty specific recommendations. The modules with blue bullet points are the body and disease categories identified as the most impacted by ICD-10. If those modules apply to your practice, please incorporate them into the six modules you select for your eLearning education. If you have further questions regarding ICD-10 eLearning, please contact: ICD-10@DignityHealth.org Thank you for your time.
