Woodruff School ACE Music Program

days on weekends, and during Parent/Teacher Conferences. A comprehensive schedule will be sent
home in the near future. Participation in all performances of the musical, Winter Concert, and Spring

Woodruff School ACE Music meets as class in the fall as a scheduled specials group and in the second
half of the year becomes an after school activity. Members will be graded on their work in the class,
rehearsals and all performances. Missing school classes will be kept to a minimum. In the event that a
class is missed, ACE Music members are expected to and responsible for contacting the teacher and
completing ALL missed academic work. Those members who play sports will be able to participate in
both as scheduling is made between the coaches and directors for them to participate.
The Woodruff School ACE Music Program will enable your child to be challenged musically, intellectually,
physically, and socially. It will provide a realistic and hands on experience to professional musical
theatre. There will also be trips, workshops, master classes and opportunities to work with the best and
brightest in musical theatre and entertainment. If you and your child feel that he/she chosen in error
or does not wish to participate in this program, please notify the me immediately.
We have also formed a parent organization “Woodruff School Friends of Music”. This group will assist
with many behind the scenes activities such as chaperoning, rehearsals, performances, fundraising, etc.
for our events throughout the school year. Please check the form below if you are interested and
available to be part of this group. There is also a Facebook group page “Woodruff School Music
Department”. This page is monitored and maintained by parents, teachers, alumni and students to help
facilitate any extra communication that is needed about the program.
If you have any questions regarding the Woodruff School ACE Music Program, please feel free to contact
me.
Sincerely,
