Education and employment:
In January 2007, I graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology majoring
in Chemical Technology. I completed my Master thesis, entitled: "The use of ionselective electrodes in enzymatic reaction studies" at the Warsaw University of
Technology and the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences
(PAS) in Warsaw under supervision of Prof. E. Malinowska and Prof. R. Ostaszewski.
In years 2007-2012, I was a PhD student in the Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS
in Warsaw. I completed my PhD thesis, entitled: "Synthesis of the long-chain
polyhydroxylic derivatives via selective coupling of simple carbohydrates" under
supervision of Prof. S. Jarosz. I graduated with a PhD in Chemistry degree in April
2013.
In years 2013-2014, I was a Postdoc in the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS in
Warsaw in the Group of Molecular Films Research of Prof. W. Kutner. Since 2014, I
have been employed as an Assistant Professor in this Group. During that time, I was
conducting research on electrochemical chemosensors using molecular imprinted
polymer (MIP) films deposited on electrodes via electropolymerization.
Research experience:
I am a synthetic chemist highly experienced in total and asymmetric synthesis. I have
mastered such experimental techniques as liquid chromatography, flash
chromatography, and the HPLC analysis as well as I acquired basic skills in NMR
spectroscopy. Moreover, I gained experience in such electroanalytical techniques as
potentiometric titrations, voltammetry (CV, DPV), electrochemical impedance
1
spectroscopy (EIS), and electropolymerization. I have basic skills in extraction from
tissues and immobilization of enzymes. I have worked in the enzymatic catalysis field.
Qualifications and additional skills:
Foreign languages: English – fluent.
Driver's licence: category B.
Other: Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Office, Origin,
GaussView, Gaussian, EndNote.
Hobbies: reading books.
References: references are available on request.
Academic achievements:
I am a co-author of the following publications.
1. M.A. Potopnyk, P. Cmoch, M. Cieplak, A. Gajewska, S. Jarosz; The synthesis of
higher carbon sugars: a study on the rearrangement of higher sugar allylic alcohols.
