FEMA Region VIII, Denver, Colorado, is recruiting for its Regional Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT). The IMAT provides FEMA Region VIII with an early and selfsufficient presence at an incident or incident threatened location and provides assistance to State, Territorial, Tribal and local emergency management officials to enable them to be as effective as possible in responding to the needs of their citizens and communities. Additionally, the IMAT provides real-time incident situational awareness for Regional decision makers and other coordinators of assistance. IMAT employees are subject to a 24-hour on call work schedule in the event of an emergency and must be willing and prepared to deploy to emergency sites with little or no notice. The teams are required to deploy on scene within 12 hours of notification. FEMA Region VIII will be soliciting resumes and applications to staff the following IMAT positions between December 8, 2014 and December 19, 2014.
