Europe: Castle or Community?
It was a pleasure to meet and talk to so many Friends in Brussels last weekend.
As I explained to some of you I am a member of the Devizes Local Meeting in the County of Wiltshire
in England. Our Meeting House nestles beside the Kennet and Avon Canal, which is a narrowboat
canal. (see www.devizesquakers.org.uk)
Devizes is a market town situated between Stonehenge to the southeast and Bath to the west both
of which are World Heritage Sites. The city of Salisbury is not far away.
My Devizes Friends asked me to send greetings to each and every one of you and ask each of you to
pass on those greetings to your Meeting wherever they may be in Europe or beyond.
With the warmest of greetings and the hope that our paths cross sometime in the future.
