By Anthony Woods Running through the halls of the endless room house as fast as he could, trying to escape. But suddenly it was all over, he slipped on the blood soaked floor and rolled down the stairs. He tried to get up but couldn’t, he had broken his leg or maybe his ankle. But it was over for him, there was no more hope nothing telling him to run nothing pushing him to keep going. Then he heard the slow splashing of the blood and the creaking of the floor. This no ghost this was not a monster, it was a demon. He slowly lifted his flash light with the last little strength he had and saw, nothing just blackness. Gabe realized it was just him in his apartment, in his pitch black room holding his hands in the air. But Gabe knew that was no dream, his ankle still hurt and he was covered in blood. Gabe limped up and wondered would this be his next case. At the P.I.R.L or paranormal investigation research lab, Gabe explained what had happened in his “dream” the team was surprised of the intensity of the incident. The P.I.R.L team was composed of Gabe, the leader, John was an exorcist, and Mia was a psychic, finally there was Lin. He was the tech man who would set up the equipment. Gabe pulled out a plump folder put it on the conference room table. Gabe said “After my dream last night I did some research and found the place I was looking for, it is a historic land mark in Europe dubbed the Blood Stained Labyrinth”. “This house his huge it is said wealthy man who originally built the house, then it was supposedly corrupted by a demon, the man went crazy and said he had to keep adding room to the house to keep the demon from escaping.” “He built rooms that lead nowhere rooms that had no doors stairs leading to walls, and endless halls. “It is said that whenever some goes in the house a demon eats the flesh of that person and paints the walls red, with their blood hence the name blood stained labyrinth”. “Then we are off to Europe” said John. With that the team got the next plain to Moryn, Poland. They arrived at the mansion, it was right beside the Stubia river witch led to the Jeziro Morzyko Lake. The team was hired by the town mayor, he was a no show because the town people never step foot on the property. Gabe walked toward the house down the long gravel drive way, suddenly he was hit with a cold burst of air. He almost fell over and it felt like he had frost bite, then he got a whiff of the most putrid smell of rotting flesh. Gabe covered his nose but that made no difference he looked back and yelled “this house is very active with paranormal activities”. The team grabbed the gear and moved towards Gabe. John said “what is it Gabe” “The smell” replied Gabe. The team was confused but just kept walking toward the mansion. Gabe had an unsettling feeling like he was being watched. But he pushed on toward the gloomy labyrinth. Its felt as if the house was alive and was tugging them in opening its gaping jaws to eat them. John tugged on the door handle, he put down the equipment and tugged with two hands. It still didn’t budge, John grunted as he pulled harder. Don’t mistake John is a strong man that stands 6’8 this was strange Mia said “maybe its locked” with a shiver in her voice. Then Gabe noticed Lin had disappeared, Gabe peered around the corners. He looked at the twisted house with worn walls, unevenness and small fogged windows dotting the building. Suddenly the handle twisted and the door slowly opened, a face started to emerge from the door. It was Lin, everyone unclenched their fists and relaxed their bodies. Later Lin explained he had climbed up the house and crawled through a window and opened the door, and he assured us the door was not locked. Later the team started exploring the house, setting up equipment everyone was given a walky-talky to keep in touch. Mia would take the east wing, John would explore the west, Lin would stay back and keep track of the walky-talky’s and the audio and video cameras. Then Gabe would go straight into the heart of the building. Mia walked, John walked, but Gabe stopped and yelled “be careful, this place is dangerous” then started creeping towards the hall. The smell had come back, it was nauseating and terrible. Then a darkness came, Gabe couldn’t even see he hands in front of his face he spread his arms and felt for a wall. He shuffled toward the wall but he slipped and tried to catch his fall using the wall. But it had collapsed and he started falling into some sort of pit. He dropped down and blacked out. Gabe heard a blood curdling scream come from the walky-talky. IT WAS Mia! Gabe patted around feeling gross slimy goo and chunks of hard stick like things and he was covered in some sort of liquid. He slugged through the knee deep terrible smelling goop scratching around for the walky-talky. He found something hard, Gabe picked it up and felt it was all wet and sticky. Gabe felt a little button and clicked it down. IT WAS A FLASHLIGHT, but the excitement was quickly replaced with fear and despair. The wetness was blood… the chunks and lumps were human pieces and the… sticks were bones. Gabe was knee deep in ripped apart half eaten humans. Gabe fought the urge to vomit he guts out but could not hold. And at the end of his session he heard the most evil demonic psychotic laugh that one could make. It was coming from above him he saw the wall were he had fallen in then saw large evil red glowing eyes. Then it threw something down it was what looked to be a ball. But when it landed in front of him, he met eyes with Mia head. Gabe stood there looking into Mia’s lifeless eyes. Tears started to wet Gabe’s face even more. He fell silent crying sitting there staring into her eyes, then he heard the laugh again, whatever it was thought this was hysterical. Then it said in a deep distorted voice “the next, name John, correct?” Gabe looked up the eyes opened wider, and a mouth started to emerge from the darkness. And with the sharp white teeth the stench grew even stronger.
