The National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is coming to Holy Angels Catholic Friday, September 11th from 12 noon – 6:00 p.m. _____________________________________________________________ The statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be in place in the church prior to the noon Mass. The World Apostolate of Fatima has a pilgrimage program in the United States that promotes the message of Fatima. They have a statue of Our Lady of Fatima that will be brought to Memphis for a 21 day, diocesan-approved tour by Statue Custodian, Bill Sockey. This beautiful image of Our Lady of Fatima was blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967 and given to our country by the Bishop of Fatima to carry the important message of Fatima to the United States. It is a message Pope John Paul II said is more important today than ever. She was crowned by Cardinal O’Boyle at the National Basilica in Washington, D.C. in 1971. This special statue has been traveling throughout our country for almost 50 years under the sponsorship of the WAF USA. She has proven time and again to be the catalyst for renewed interest in the message of Fatima and for exposing new generations of Catholics who are unaware of the important message of conversion and peace brought by Our Lady to the three shepherd children in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal. Many graces and miracles have been attributed to this statue. Our Lady brings hope and peace to people’s hearts, answers many prayers and is a conduit of grace leading to many conversions. For the many thousands of people who may never make a pilgrimage to the grotto in Fatima, this is an opportunity to hear Fatima’s message of hope and peace. It is a great honor to have her in our midst and Father Stellini will be consecrating Holy Angels to the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady of Fatima during this special visit. All are invited and encouraged to come see this beautiful Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and learn Our Lady’s message for obtaining peace and putting an end to abortion and the moral corruption that if afflicting our country today. The Statue Custodian will explain how the message of Fatima applies to our country today and discuss what we can do to earn the blessings on our country that Our Lady promised if her requests are fulfilled. The WAF is a public association of the faithful; you may want to check the World Apostolate of Fatima website www.wafusa.org for more information in regards to the promulgation of the Fatima message or go to the Memphis website www.livefatima.org or www.bluearmy.com Our Lady of Fatima Since the kids are out of school for “Fair Week”, what a wonderful opportunity for them to come and see the National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.
