Stephen Gibson Biography
Stephen Gibson was appointed Chief Executive of Wentworth Club in July 2015, the prestigious home of the European Tour's Flagship event, the BMW PGA
Championship.
Stephen joined Wentworth in 2007 as the Director of Golf. Over the past eight years he has been responsible for all retail, purchasing and sales, golf staging and tuition. He introduced the highly successful TaylorMade Performance Lab in
September 2010 and the Adams Second Shot Centre in 2014. He also oversaw the Reception and Hotel operation and all guest relation management.
Having completed his qualification at Newcastle University in Hotel
Management, Stephen then started his career as a Chef, until he discovered golf!
After completing his training at Rye and Walton Heath Golf Clubs as an Assistant
Professional he then became a class A PGA Member.
His career took him to Stockley Park and Kingswood in golf coaching roles before opening Queenwood Golf Club in 2001 as the Head Assistant. Stephen took up his first Head Professional role at the Oxfordshire Golf Club in 2004.
Alongside his role as a PGA Professional, Stephen also hosts his own radio show
'In Your Bag' on Sirius XM PGA tour radio.
