THANKS
There is a thank you card on the Notice Board from Margaret and Alistair.
It says “Dear Friends, What a wonderful send-off you gave us on Sunday. As you will have gathered, it was a very emotional
farewell for us. The flowers are lovely and the picture will always remind us of the very happy 23 years we spent in Barrow upon
Soar. The lunch on Sunday was the best ever. Thank you so much to the chefs and to you all for your company and good
wishes. With our love and every blessing, Margaret and Alistair”
MUSIC IN WORSHIP
During the next few weeks it may be difficult to find someone to play either the piano or the organ to accompany our singing.
However we have been fortunate in being loaned a set of CDs to accompany singing by our friends at Wysall which they used for
worship. Today we shall use these accompaniments for some of our singing in our services – so be ready for something
different! Adrian

YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW
I thought you might like to hear what one of our very regular Minimarket customers has been up to lately! Seven year old Abby
Brown, daughter of Gemma (nee Burton) and Gaz (and a very good recorder player!!!) has been helping to collect money at Hall
Orchard and raised £25 by selling loom bands and saving her pocket money in order that Mr Dipple can buy some treats for the
children when he goes on one of his regular visits to Gondar in Ethiopia. Abbie has been begging her mum to let her have her
hair cut for months –last week Gemma gave in and Abby had her bum length hair cut in order to send it to the Princess Trust to
be made into wigs for children who lose their hair through illness. She has now asked her mum and dad if she can sponsor a
child and they have said they will go halves with her!
Love the new hairstyle, Abby and it is a really kind and lovely thing to do!
NOTE: Abby is on Radio Leicester talking with Rupal tomorrow just after the 2.00 pm news!
“OLIVER” – Saturday 16th January 2016
A ticket has become available for the theatre visit to see “Oliver” – if you are interested or know someone who might be then
please have a word with Mike – Thanks.
