The Mick Moyle Memorial
The Bude SLSC Christmas Day Swim is a SPONSORED EVENT with all participants raising money to help run Bude Surf Life Saving Club which is run entirely by volunteers.
The swim has grown enormously and is recognised as the largest non-wetsuit swim on Christmas day in the
UK!
The last few years some 700 people have taken part in the swim with only 20% actually being sponsored to take part. It is a fantastic community event, a wonderful way to start your Christmas celebrations and we are thrilled that so many people take part.
With this in mind we are encouraging as many people as possible to register for the event and donate (say
£10) in place of sponsorship. This helps us anticipate numbers and ensure we provide adequate safety cover. We thank you for taking part, and look forward to seeing you on the day.
