Senan Kilbride and Kevin Moran win GAA GPA Opel Player of the Month Award Press release, Wednesday May 13th Opel Ireland kicked off their 2015 Season with the announcement of Senan Kilbride (Roscommon) and Kevin Moran (Waterford) as the GAA/GPA Opel All-Star Players of the Month in football and hurling respectively. Recognised for their stand-out performances in recent weeks, the selections were chosen by the inter-county playing body, rewarding the contributions made by both players during their sides’ league campaigns. Roscommon forward Senan Kilbride put in a sterling man of the match performance against the Mournemen, helping his county clinch victory in the Football League Division II Final. The experienced St Brigid’s man scored a sensational four points from play as the Rossies enjoyed a 1-17 to 0-15 win over a 14-man Down. Roscommon will take on London in Ruislip in just four weeks time, as they kick off their 2015 Connacht SFC campaign. Kevin Moran takes the honours in hurling, with Waterford crowned Division 1 champions in Thurles. Acknowledged by his peers for his inspiration leadership throughout the Gentle County’s league campaign, the De La Salle man of the match collected three points from play in the final, as over 17,500 fans watched his side claim a 0-1 to 1-24 victory over Cork on the day. “As we look back on an exciting league campaign and ahead to what we hope will be another nail biting championship season, it’s with great pleasure that we continue our support of Gaelic Games in 2015.
