Panhellenic Council Meeting
October 29th, 2012

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:01pm.
READING OF NPC CREED
We, as Undergraduate Members of women’s fraternities, stand for good
scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and
for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for
furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities.
We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of
character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity
and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through
mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.

Old Business
 Constitution Changes
 Alpha Chi Omega moved to vote for the Constitution changes.
 Alpha Delta Pi seconded.
 The vote passed with 13 in favor of changing the Constitution.
 Bylaw Changes
 Chi Omega moved to vote for the Bylaw changes
 Kappa Delta seconded
 The vote passed with 13 votes in favor.
 Responsibility Policy
 Zeta Tau Alpha moved to vote for the Bylaw changes
 Chi Omega seconded
 The vote passed with 13 votes in favor.
 Chi Omega moved to vote to change the part in the Constitution where we will
have one appointed delegate and one additional member for each chapter
in attendance at the Panhellenic meetings.
 Zeta Tau Alpha Seconded.
 The motion passed with 13 in favor.
New Business
• Slated Officer Question and Answer Session
• Pi Beta Phi moved to nominate Caroline Toller for Director of Recruitment,
Continuous Open Bidding from the floor.
• Kappa Kappa Gamma seconded.
For the Good of the Order/Announcements
Alpha Chi Omega had an awesome corn maze and function with their
homecoming partners. They are excited for their 65th anniversary with alumni
traveling to Manhattan for the event. One of their sisters lost their brother this
weekend and they will keep us updated for the memorial service.
Alpha Delta Pi announced that this weekend they will start slating for their new
officers.
Alpha Xi Delta has membership workshop this weekend.
Chi Omega is excited for their Dad’s weekend on Saturday. They will be slating
on Sunday.
Delta Delta Delta is hosting their Walking Taco philanthropy on Saturday in Cat
Town starting at 4:30. Their Founder’s Day is on Sunday. They will be raking
leaves in Manhattan as a community service event.
Gamma Phi Beta has their initiation this week. They are planning a community
service for their chapter to do soon.
Gamma Rho Lambda announced that MSMR went really well. They initiated 3
new members this week.
Kappa Alpha Theta has Dad’s weekend coming up this Saturday. They will be
slating this weekend.
Kappa Delta had their Dad’s day this past weekend. They will slate on Sunday.
Kappa Kappa Gamma announced that one of their members has been
diagnosed with leukemia. They will be having a fundraiser for the cause of
leukemia Nov. 13th in the Union.
Pi Beta Phi will be hosting Kisses for the Troops on Thursday Nov. 8th. Cosmo
sponsors the event; there will be make-up artists and post cards to send to the
troops.
Sigma Kappa has initiation week this week. They also have Semi-formal coming
up.
Zeta Tau Alpha had a sisterhood event with Alpha Delta Pi where they bedazzled
pumpkins. They are also going to have a mixer with DU where they will be
carving pumpkins. Their initiation is on Sunday.

• Tri Sigma Presentation at 7pm on November 15th.
