 Choose 3 or 4 of the many styles of Greek pots that appeal to you. (refer to handout)
 Make 3 or 4 different thumbnail sketches based on Greek designs slightly altering the
original Greek design and adding your own creativity in order to accommodate your
chosen Ancient Greek Olympic sport and your Modern Olympic sport.
 Make these 3 or 4 thumbnail sketches as inventive and imaginative as possible.

Incorporate ancient Greek design along with modern design.

Incorporate relief sculptural techniques on your pottery.

Incorporate texture.
3. Design Color
 Over-glazes will be used. Look at the available glaze colors in the art room.
 Determine your color scheme. (When this particular clay is bisque fired it turns white.
We will apply a clear glaze and fire the pottery a second time).
 Over glazes are then applied to fired and clear glazed pottery much like watercolor
paint. Only minimal detail will be obtainable with this glazing technique.
