Initially the position requires successful experience in teaching Chemistry to IB Diploma or equivalent level and the ability to develop the necessary curriculum for that level of science. He or she will understand the importance of being part of a department team and the faculty team as a whole. He or she will also be able to show evidence of self-directed professional development through professional membership, publications or professional collaborations. An understanding of how to develop students whose first language is not English will be important. In addition to Chemistry the successful candidate will be able to teach middle years mathematics.
