to be considered for the Registered Nurse position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I believe
my academic training, along with my clinical experience, would qualify me for this position.
The most rewarding part of my education at South Texas College has been to help patients
outside the classroom. South Texas College has given me the knowledge and skills I need to
excel at Nursing. While in my last semester of Nursing School, I wrote a research paper on
Pediatric Endocrine Development related to Hormone Gene Therapy. I was able to present this
research paper in front of the community in my hometown of Harlingen, TX.
I have worked within the hospital setting for two years. I have experience working with the
critically ill and the surgical patients. I have been able to use my knowledge from school and
apply it during emergency situations. I have worked alongside physicians and advance practice
nurses in collaborative settings.
