DREAMS, WHO WRITES THIS STUFF?
Just who is the "I" who writes, directs and stars in
our night-time dreams? Most of the time the
dream ego ("me") in the dream is so much like our
waking sense of self that we don't notice the
difference. All is not always as it seems. I'll talk
about the way our conscious mind and our
unconscious interact in the creation of our
narratives of remembered dreams.

There is no more reason to take emotions in a
dream literally than to take any other element of
the dream literally, but emotions are powerful.
When we report on a dream, “But I was angry!”
we’ll often stop there, not thinking to question
whether anger felt in the dream can be
understood in other ways.
We’ll explore the symbolic quality of emotions
and discover ways to see more deeply into the
emotional narratives of dreams.
