The Baldwin-Woodville Board of Education hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for the removal of snow from
Greenfield Elementary, B-W High School, bus garage, and business office/bus garage for the 2013-2014 school year. All bids must be submitted according to the directions and specifications. Action will be taken at the Regular Board Meeting on August 19, 2013 that begins at 7:30 p.m.
SPECIFICATIONS
1.
Bids for the removal of snow will be accepted at the District Office until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013.
2.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids if deemed in the best interests of the school district.
3.
The Board agrees not to willfully give detailed bid information to the press. However, legal demands on the part of the citizens to examine records cannot be waived.
4.
The following bid is to be binding for five (5) days from the date of opening as indicated above.

High School - Snowplowing must be completed by 6:00 a.m. on days when school is in session. When school is not in session or has been called off due to adverse weather conditions, the snow need not be removed until 6:00 a.m. of the next school day. Greenfield – Snowplowing must be completed by 6:00 a.m. (Due to child care program).
6.
Snow to be plowed if over 3” (under 3” of snow will be plowed by B-W School personnel).
7.
Removal of snow from the following areas. a.
Greenfield Elementary School – Parking area in front of building, driveway at the east end of the new addition to custodians’ entrance, bus loop east of new addition and north of original building, and the south parking lot. b.
B-W High School – Removal of snow from all blacktop areas (parking lots and driveways on the north, south, west and east sides of the high school). Snow may not be piled adjacent to sidewalks and fences in the area. c.
Bus Garage at 970 5 th Ave. – Areas to south, east, and west of bus garage. d.
District Office & Bus Garage at 550 Highway 12 – East, north & west parking lots.

Rate #2—
Per occurrence for snow removal at B-W High School, Greenfield Elementary School, Bus Garage at 970
5 th Avenue, and District Office & Bus Garage at 550 Highway 12 for snow falls resulting in 10 or more inches.
Rate #3—
Per hour for removing drifted snow when it’s not drifted badly enough to warrant plowing the whole area.
