HR Business Partner, Northeast VOITH This positon is responsible for working at the Board level in order to maintain the strategic development of the company, participating in organization strategic initiatives. Further the HR BP- Northeast is responsible for short and long term workforce planning; departmental and talent performance management; initiation of organization employee policies; union relations and programs directly supporting the organization's mission. This position works out of the York, PA office. Primary Duties: •Prioritize organizational and business strategies - act as the organizational and performance improvement driver provoking positive changes in people management. ◦Site Management: organizational design, effectiveness and productivity, employee satisfaction and morale, human capital KPIs, workforce planning, succession planning, employee and team performance, employee/union policy, procedure compliance and risk management. ◦Union Officials and Committees: Relationship, problem-solving and contract administration and negotiations. Integration with outside union organizations and structures. ◦Organization talents: Development and career planning, assignment and experience-making, coaching and counseling. Integration with overall organization succession and workforce planning. ◦Legal resources: Risk management, troubleshooting and case management maintaining legal and Voith compliance. •Provides well researched and reliable counsel and information to HR Shared Services (SSC) and Centers of Competence (CoC) for new solutions or program designs - assures solutions meet Site management and employee needs. •Provides oversight, guidance and input on operating unit restructuring activities, workforce planning/execution and strategic succession planning tied to business needs and goals. Identifies short, medium and long term resourcing issues and plans. Redesigns structures around business strategies. Provides fact and data-based recommendations to Site leadership. Crafts and implements organizational strategies to chronic challenges. Leads organization's employee policy execution. •Serves as company lead or bargaining team member for Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. Especially responsible for negotiations preparation, data collection and tactic. •Accountable for selection of new employees in association with hiring managers. While SSC provides tools, branding and pipeline management, the HR BP assures high quality of hiring at the point of specific need. •Responsible with line management to identify and prepare development plans for key and high potential employees, employees ready for promotion, including assignments and rotations of talents across different functions/regions etc. Qualification & Business Experiences •Minimum 5 years of multiple, progressive and general HR applied experience demonstrating capabilities of resolving complex organizational and employee relations issues. •Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including organizational diagnosis and intervention, employee and union relations, succession and development planning, diversity, performance management, compensation practices, etc. •Ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions. Employee and union relations, change management and team development experiences and proven track record. •Track record in demonstrating and translating business changes in practical, effective people management solutions. •Strong experience and competence in managing conflicts in organizations, in various relationships; resolves political problems in execution of business plans. •In-depth and highly proficient consulting skills. Education and Experience •Business or functionally related Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or MBA in a Human Resources discipline is preferable. •Strong analytic skills with an ability to translate business plans and goals into human resource capabilities needed to achieve results. •High proficiency in HR IT tools and analytics (SAP). •Strong conceptual, system and tactical thinker with effective influencing, negotiations and presentation abilities. Effective relationship builder at all organization levels and functions. •In-depth knowledge of legal requirements (federal and region employment law) related to day-to-day management of employees reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. •Self-driven, proactive, confident and credible.
