Assistant Manager, Visitor Services

Role:
Under the direction of the Manager, Visitor Experience, is responsible for Visitor Services
Department’s day-to-day operations and service delivery in accordance with established
quality standards. Provides team leadership, guidance and training to department staff
and volunteers in accordance with policies, procedures and systems. Resolves service
delivery issue as required. Participates in the development and implementation of an
overall customer centric strategy and program for enhancing Gallery services for all
visitors.

Objectives:
·
Supervises and provides on-site support and direction to front-line staff &
volunteers to ensure the delivery of excellent departmental services to the public and
visitors.
·
Works closely with Assistant Manager, Visitor Experience Operations to ensure
the customer experience is seamless and exceptionally integrated between contact
centre and onsite sale/service.
·
Provides guidance and on-site support to staff in department policies, procedures
and processes. Determines work priorities based on service requirement established by
the Manager, and assigns staff accordingly.
·
Work closely with the Coordinator, organizes the activities of the Information Guide
Volunteers ensuring sufficient number of trained information guides are available.
Qualifications:
·
Some years of supervisory or managerial experience.
·
Several years of professional experience in a variety of customer service, box
office and hospitality environments, at a supervisory level.
·
Some years of Volunteer management and supervision.
·
Leadership and managerial skills to direct, guide and motivate staff, and to plan
and coordinate department services.
·
Well developed knowledge of ticket sales, and customer services practices,
especially in cultural/entertainment industry.
·
Demonstrated public relations skills to respond to customer inquiries and
complaints.
·
Written communication skills to prepare correspondence, advisory reports and
recommendations.
·
Demonstrated experience writing procedures.
·
Demonstrated experience with change management
