ANALYSIS/REFLECTION—ESSAY (6 PARAGRAPHS) Analyze the relevance of British history on the formation of British literature during each of the four time periods we have studied so far. Identify and describe the most relevant and influential aspects of each time period and explain how each time period provides very unique and specific fertile context for the rich and relevant literature produced during each time period. Construct an essay in which you write an introductory paragraph complete with a thoughtful thesis statement; four body paragraphs, each body paragraph dedicated to one time periods and resulting literature [MUCH evidence from text and related personal commentary from you to support your thesis]; and a concluding paragraph, one that illuminates your initial thesis statement AND provides an additional reflection, addressing how British history and literature provides necessary context for and reflection about our American history, contemporary literature, societal concerns, and also our own personal lives.
