WELCOME ADDRESS FROM THE VICE
PRESIDENT MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS
Hello,
The fact that you’re here and looking into playing a bigger part in Demon Media is very
exciting!
I’m your Vice President Media and Communication and my role is to oversee Demon Media.
Having just won the award for Best Student Media in the UK, you’re looking to make your
next step up the ladder at the right time, whether you’re a fresher, third year, postgraduate
or international student.
I was Features Editor for The Demon last year and it was fantastic. I enjoyed the chance to
write about campus stories every fortnight, it looks brilliant on my CV and being part of a
society as big as Demon Media at University is so much fun.
Good luck!

WHAT IS DEMON MEDIA?
Demon Media is De Montfort Students’ Union’s very own award winning media group,
acting as a mouthpiece for student views, opinions and interests. Boasting impressive
opportunities in TV, radio, print and now online, the Demon Media group is one most
successful societies on campus, winning the award for the Best Student Media group at the
NUS Awards in 2013.
With a student body consisting of over 21,000 students, your knowledge and skills are the
most important edge we have in ensuring that Demon Media remains one of the best
student societies this university has on offer. We also had over 500 members last year, with
each individual taking up a role that elevated Demon Media to award winning heights.
