AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
To acquaint the visiting European Students (ERASMUS) with the rich history,
language and civilization of Crete and Greece. To explain the rich culture of
Crete and Greece.

Hellenic, Roman, Byzantine, Arabic, Venetian, Turkish and 20th

6. Study Trips to Museums, Archaeological Sites and Places of Interest.
BIBLIOGRAPHY- GENERAL BIBLIOGRAPHY
Written Assignment (4000 Words in English) on a mutually agreed research project
on an aspect of Cretan or Greek Culture, or a Certificate of Attendance will be
awarded.

TYPE OF COURSE: LECTURE AND WORKSHOP
DURATION OF COURSE: 13-15 weeks (four hours per week)
ECTS: 4 credits
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The educational program is designed to develop all language skills. Both courses
(level 1, level 2) aim to build on the students' knowledge of Greek and to expand it
accordingly. Students are encouraged to develop an interest in many aspects of Greek
everyday life and culture.
ASSESSMENT: Written exam at the end of the semester.
Certificates are also given at the end of each successfully completed course.
