Ten people wrote down that net worth is calculated by subtracting your total liabilities from your total assets. Almost everyone circle current asset for stored grain and circled current liability for the unpaid bill at the co-op. The term basis refers to the ______________ between local cash prices and the futures price. Twelve people circled Yes that the market did want their corn last Thursday. 75 percent of the class said current ratio was an important performance measure for the farm. Tim sent you the information on marital status questions. Thank you for providing Tim and I with your input. We will be taking a group photo after you are done here. I have the table set up, so please help me get everyone situated and smiling. We will send the photo to county newspapers of the graduating class. 6:00 Tim introduces Chad Wellhausen, Director of the Clarinda IWCC campus, and Melissa Johnson, Soil Conservationist, who told us about NRCS programs. Remember Cynthia and Amanda from Minneapolis? They were representatives from the Risk Management Agency, the funder of Annie’s Project. They brought copies of the Risk Management Check list. Heidi and I have used some of these questions to guide our evaluations. Take a look at the back of the check list. You will see a list of critical dates and sign-up deadlines for crop insurance. You can fill in the lines as a reminder for you. Tim introduces Kathleen Lorimor and points to objectives. 8:00 Stretch break 8:05 Heidi hands out materials for value-added agricultural enterprises. Heidi asks Tim what do they call value-added agriculture in Florida, small farms, ag census, a farm that makes $250,000 or less in gross sales. Tim says Ag Marc can be an excellent resource. Heidi points out questions for presenters. Real life. Heidi points to objectives and introduces Judy Henke. It is my pleasure to introduce Judy Henke, who took the time from her busy schedule to join us tonight. Judy is also one of the Extension Council members. 8:25 One of our own Annie’s participants will share with you her value-added agricultural enterprise. 8:45 Before I hand out the evaluations, I have a sign-up sheet next to the evaluation box. Let us know if you want to be on the steering committee for Women Marketing Livestock. The steering committee meets for two hours, only once. Heidi hands out end-of-session evaluations, like always. For this last session, I am handing out a shortened version of the Topics and Speakers list you received on the first night. Review the names and topics to refresh your memory. Please write down an action step you have taken during the course and action steps you are planning to take by June 1. I don’t expect you to list more than one or two. We are all busy. Just list the action steps that you realistically want to accomplish. It has been our pleasure to host this Annie’s Project in Clarinda. We have enjoyed it immensely, and you aren’t off the hook. We will be doing follow-up evaluations. By the way, the slide show will start our presentation in Baltimore in March!
