The book containing William's will has been lost, but a clerks
record mentions that his will was proved in King George County
December 3, 1738.

Francis Triplett, a son of William and Elizabeth (Hedgeman) Triplett, was
born in Prince William County VA about 1735 and died in Fauquier County VA in
1795. His will was dated September 24, 1794 and was proven in Fauquier County
January 26, 1795.
He married Benedicta Sennett in Prince William County March 17, 1750.
Benedicta was a daughter of Robert Sennett of Charles County MD.
Francis served in the VA militia as early as 1751 and was a member of
Colonel George Washingtons company of VA in 1755 and 1756. He was appointed
Captain of Militia and served during the American Revolution. He took the oath
of allegiance to the colonies September 28, 1778.

Sennett Triplett, a son of Hedgeman and Mary Marshall (McClanahan) Triplett,
was born in 1790 and died in Nicholas County VA (WV) December 26, 1856.
We find Sennett Triplett described in D.S. Deweese's
"Recollections and Experiences of a Lifetime:"
"I will now speak of a man who was a picturesque figure in the early
settlement of Elk River and especially in Clay County, where to this day quite a
host of his posterity live and are classed among Clay County's best citizens."
"Sennett Triplett was a man of more than the average intellect and had been
reared amid surroundings that were ample for the development of his strong mind.
He completed a thorough education equal to the requirements of his day, being
qualified for both the law and medicine. The latter profession he very
successfully followed in his later years." "In his youth ful days, before the
settlers had entered that vast unbroken wilderness bordering Elk River for miles
and miles on either side, from Charleston up to within twenty miles of Sutton,
Sennett Triplett, with no other companion than his bear cub, dog and trusty
flintlock hunting gun, delved into the forest to lead the romantic life of a
recluse. He threw up a camp in the then wilderness of the Buffalo country, in
what was then Nicholas County."
Sutton's "History of Braxton County and Central West Virginia" lists
Sennett Triplett as a member of the first grand jury convened in Braxton County,
VA (WV) on September 12, 1836.
He married Elizabeth Rebecca Frame June 16, 1826 in Kanawha county, VA (WV).
Elizabeth, a daughter of Thomas and Agnes (LeMasters) Frame, was born in
Nicholas County, VA (WV) in 1813 and died in Clay County in 1906.
The family is listed in the 1850 Braxton County VA (WV) census. Elizabeth is
listed as a head of a household in the 1860 Clay County Va (WV) census.
