CHS Homecoming parade entry forms are outside the HS office!
Dance request forms are outside the HS office!
Any freshman or junior interested in purchasing a powderpuff shirt,
please see Mrs. Frese, Mr. Tenhouse, Madeline Davis or Brey
Genenbacher for an order form.
Senior/Sophomore Powder Puff T-shirt Orders are due by Wednesday Sept 16th.
Design is on Mr. Brassfield’s door. Order forms can be picked up in Mr.
Brassfield’s or Mrs. Obert’s room. Please return money and form to Mr.
Brassfield. All names on back of shirts will be approved by Mrs. Obert and Mr.
Brassfield
Fall sports picture day will be this Friday, September 18th. Your
coaches will be distributing the photo packages , so please look for
those soon. Make sure to have your proper jerseys and gear that
day!!
There’s still time to order a Homecoming T-shirt – See Mrs. Chris Schmidt ASAP!
It is time to start putting together your outfits for Homecoming week—America’s Monday
wear red, white and blue, Wacky Tacky Tuesday wear anything crazy, Wednesday dress to
impress wear your Sunday best, Thursday is wear 60 of anything, Friday wear your Diamond
Celebration Homecoming t-shirts or black and gold. There will be prizes every day for
everyone who participates. Make this the best Homecoming ever, PARTICIPATE!!
Guidance Announcements
Ms. Triplett has a white board on her office door. If you need to see her, please
sign your name on the board If she is not in her office, she will get to
you as soon as she can!
Manufacturing Expo 2015 – Any junior or senior interested in attending the
manufacturing expo in Quincy on September 25th you must sign up with Ms.
Triplett by September 18th . We will leave at 8:10am and return around 1:30 or
2pm. Lunch will be provided. We will tour a manufacturing plant in Quincy then
have a tour and activites at JWCC Workforce Development Center.
CHS’s new ISAC rep, Katy Reynold’s, will be here September 24th all day in Ms. Triplett’s outer
office to meet with any students who would like to discuss college planning or financial aid. Signup sheet will be posted on Ms. Triplett’s door.

for all students to access. You can search colleges and scholarships easily.
And quick link folder has been created for you; this will connect you to all
Illinois Public Universities, colleges, scholarship sites, and other college
resources!!

Submit a 250 word essay on the topic “How would you like to see Illinois agriculture
change in the next 10 years to ensure the state’s strong agricultural status? – 18 $1,000
prizes will be awarded. – DEADLINE – NOV 30TH 2015.
Organizations- Club
Any freshman that is willing and able to stay after school to help with
locker decorations, please see Mrs. Spath or Ms. Guthrie! We will be
meeting in Mrs. Spath’s room from 3-4 every Monday- Thursday until the
decorations are done.
Class Officers: Every Tuesday morning there will be a class officer meeting 7:45 a.m.
in Mrs. C. Schmidt’s room.
Morning Chorus: MORNING CHORUS WILL ONLY PRACTICE ON TUESDAY SEPT 15TH
Yearbook: The 2014-2015 (last year’s yearbook) is now for sale for $50. Get your copy
before we run out! If you have not yet bought a book and would like to, see Mrs. Spath.
The books will be for sale for $50 until we run out.
This year’s yearbook is also on sale at its lowest price,
see Mrs. Spath or grab an order form outside the office
today! There is a special offer for
anyone ordering before October 30th.
Sports
All Athletes must be in school by 8:45 on game day to participate unless you
have prior approval of the Athletic Director or Principal
JV Football: Home game at 6:00pm against Triopia. Good luck boys!!
Boys Golf- Boys golf team finished 7th out of 13 teams Saturday in the Red
Rogers Invitational. Scores used Conner Bross 91, Lane Marlow 104, Eli
Grownewold 105 and Cody Hoener 110. Home meet today at 4:00pm against
Quincy High School.
Volleyball- The JV team played in the QHS tournament this weekend and went 3-2. The
won their last game for the consolation championship! Way to go girls! Congratulations to
Destiny Furhman on the all-tournament team!
**Away game tonight at 6:00pm against Western High School. Good luck
ladies!! Bus time is 4:30.
