For many professions, a Master’s degree is the new gold standard for employers seeking talented and well-trained employees. Graduate education is central to the University of Arizona’s mission as a student-centered, Land Grant research university guided by a commitment to address the work force needs of the state.
Many Master’s programs at the University of Arizona target the workforce needs of the state and produce top graduate students who are very likely to stay in Arizona and contribute significantly to the economic, social and cultural development necessary to enhance the well-being of the region.
The UA Graduate College, with the generous assistance of the Louise Foucar Marshall
Foundation, is creating a Workforce-Ready Master’s Fellowship Program in order to incentivize
Arizonans to enroll in UA master’s programs that meet the workforce needs of Southern Arizona and the State. This program is effective immediately for recruitment for Fall 2014 enrollment.
