Clinical Manager Dayton YWCA Position Announcement The Dayton YWCA, dedicated to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism, seeks an energetic, dedicated person to be an integral part of the leadership team. The Clinical Manager is responsible for ensuring quality therapeutic and case management services for all programs within the YWCA. This person assures that the highest standards are met for the clinical aspects of the YWCA, including working along with the Operations Manager to ensure a comprehensive safety net. The Clinical Manager supervises all case management staff, ensuring productivity of case managers and that mechanisms are in place to measure client satisfaction. The Clinical Manager also participates in short and long range planning for program development and agency direction. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Responsible for oversight of the clinical needs of the YWCA clients and residents, assuring the highest standards for safe and ethical administration of the organization’s clinical programs. Participates in policy reviews, strategic planning, and program analysis for optimal outcome achievement and client satisfaction. Collaborates with all case management and shelter staff to ensure a holistic approach to shelter services and housing offered and client services received. Assures accuracy of records and documentation of service delivery, billing statements and security controls, as well as accurate and timely reporting of statistical data. Takes part in supervisory and agency administrative meetings. Learns and understands HMIS/Service Point and Unity databases. Operates within approved budget. Monitors cost center activity and expenses; allocates costs to the appropriate grants within the budget. Supports daily operations to assure that all program goals and objectives are met. Oversees all assessments of incoming residents. Provides crisis counseling and coordinates the more complex mental health/substance abuse issues or situations. Develops/supervises individual goal plans and intervention strategies, while assuring all case managers follow basic standards and best practices for clinical intervention. Develops domestic violence structured curriculum and procedures for resident support, DV education and other group work. Recruits, schedules and monitors community service providers for presentations and on-site services, in conjunction with other managers. Assures consistent delivery of child assessments and professional interventions on referrals, including developmental and mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of sheltered children. Oversees hiring process and management of case management staff, working to provide direction, motivation and relevant training when needed. Responsible for the direct supervision of case management staff, including but not limited to scheduling; maintaining supervisory records and documentation; scheduling meetings, evaluations and coaching as appropriate; providing clinical supervision; and promoting staff development and morale. Represents the YWCA Dayton professionally and is engaged with community collaborators when needed and applicable. SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Y Experience with advocacy issues highly preferred. Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence, homelessness and residential settings preferred. 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred. Understanding of agency liability and client responsibility. Knowledge of issues relevant to target population. High level written and verbal communication skills required; and an ability to relate with poise and self-confidence to diverse groups and stakeholders. Keen understanding of the YWCA USA and Dayton YWCA mission, vision, history and programs. Developed skills in relational savvy, with the ability to establish rapport with a culturally diverse population. Demonstrated commitment to and championing of the organizational mission and vision. Must be able to work independently and be an enthusiastic self-starter, who is intelligent, highly creative and innovative in designing and planning, hard-working, punctual, detail-oriented, and personable, with strong organizational skills EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Y Y Y Y Y Y Y A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required. Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision License (LISW-S) is required. Progressive learner. Proven accountable leader. Experience working in deadline-driven environments. Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet the needs of various stakeholders. Ability to monitor and meet both internal and external stakeholder’s goals.
