Hood, Dash

The hood and dash shall be the standard Polaris Solar Red. The hood and dash shall be made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Roof and Roll Bar

The unit shall have the Polaris factory installed ROPS Certified roll bar. Attached to the roll bar will be an 11 gauge aluminum tread plate roof panel. The roof panel is to provide protection to the driver and passenger.

Mirrors- Left, Right, and Rear View

One convex mirror head measuring 5”x7” is to be mounted on each side of the unit. The mirror arms shall have a built in breakaway feature allowing them to pivot inward for tight locations. A 4”x6” center mounted rear view mirror shall also be supplied allowing the driver to see in the patient module.

Skirting- ABS

The side skirting made from .375 thick ABS material shall be supplied around the bottom of the module. This skirting shall give the unit a smoothed and finished appearance around the frame and rear tires.

Step- Rear

A 40” x 10” aluminum tread plate step shall be provided at the rear of the unit. The step is to aid in the entering and exiting of the rear module.

REAR (PATIENT) MODULE STANDARD FEATURES

All Aluminum Construction

The rear module shall be constructed of Aluminum tread plate flooring (No less than .125 thick), side walls and roof, (No less than .090 thick). The floor sub structure shall consist of aluminum tubing. The frame structure for walls and roof shall be made using an aluminum extrusion with a 3 in. radius corner with grooves for the side walls to mount inside.

Rear module side windows shall be deep tinted sliding w/screens RV style.

The purpose of the design of the module is to allow the ability to carry one (1) patient (customer specified stretcher) and one (1) attendant from the immediate accident scene to a pre-determined shelter and/or additional transport device (i.e. standard ambulance) in a safe and stable manner.

Painted Interior- Zolatone Finish

The Interior Ceiling, Front and Sides shall be painted with Zolatone finish (Light Gray).

Painted Exterior- White Standard

All rear module seams shall be caulked both inside and along the exterior edges with an automotive sealant to prevent moisture from entering between any body panels.

The rear module, module doors if applicable, and all parts shall be thoroughly sanded, and washed with solvent.

Tacked free of any dust particles, the body and all applicable parts shall be individually sprayed using the following minimum procedure and materials:

Two (2) coat of epoxy primer

Two (2) coats of the specified color

Two (2) coats of clear urethane

Bench Seat- 60” with Seat Belt, Seat Pad, and Built in Storage

A 60” wide bench seat shall be provided in the rear module. The bench will have two Durawear® covered seat pad and two 48” retractable seat belts for one occupant. The two seat pads will lift up giving access for storage inside the bench.

Cot Mounting System

A Stryker Cot mounting system shall be provided in the rear module. This system will accommodate a standard full size cot.

Door- Side Access to Bench Storage

A bottom hinged door approximately 48 ” wide and 13 3/4” high located on passenger side of the rear module to provide exterior access to the under bench storage shall be provided. The door shall be a flush mount design and will have two (2) push button paddle style latches located in the top area of the door. When open, the door shall have ample support to provide a work shelf area as well.

Door- Rear Canvas

The rear door area shall have a canvas roll up door with dual side zippers. The door shall be made from polyester marine canvas material with a single window in the center made from aqua-view vinyl.

Grab Handles- Interior (1) Entry Door and (1) Ceiling

One (1) grab handle shall be mounted in the center of the ceiling, and one (1) mounted near the rear door opening.

One (1) 30” exterior aluminum grab handles shall be mounted on the left and right of rear module.

Windows

There shall three (3) 12” x 40” sliding auto safety glass windows, one in each side, and one in the front of the rear module. They shall have insect screen and dark tinted glass to aid in privacy and to keep the inside cool.

LIGHTING STANDARD FEATURES

There shall be dual 50 quartz- halogen lamps mounted in the front grill.

Fluorescent Dome Light –One (1) in Cab, Two (2) in Rear Module

There shall be three (3) 14” fluorescent light fixtures with on/off switch one (1) in cab, two (2) in rear module. The light will have dual fluorescent 14” tubes with a clear plastic cover protecting the bulbs.

Tail Lights

Two red taillight bulbs shall be provided and mounted in the tail panel. The lights will illuminate when the ignition key is in the “on” position.

TIRES AND WHEELS STANDARD FEATURES

Carlisle Off-Road Tires

There shall be six (6) Carlisle Off-Road tires provided. Two (2) 25x10x12 front and four (4) 25x11x12 tires will be provided.

Steel Wheels- Black

There shall be six steel wheels painted black. Two (2) front (25x7x12), four (4) rear (25x8x12) wheels.
