Hood, Dash The hood and dash shall be the standard Polaris Solar Red. The hood and dash shall be made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Roof and Roll Bar The unit shall have the Polaris factory installed ROPS Certified roll bar. Attached to the roll bar will be an 11 gauge aluminum tread plate roof panel. The roof panel is to provide protection to the driver and passenger. Mirrors- Left & Right Side One convex mirror head measuring 5”x7” is to be mounted on each side of the unit. The mirror arms shall have a built in break-away feature allowing them to pivot inward for tight locations. Skirting- ABS The side skirting made from .375 thick ABS material shall be supplied around the bottom of the bed. This skirting shall give the unit a smoothed and finished appearance around the frame and rear tires. 2 Rev 9/21/11 LifeGuard Standard Unit Specifications Step- Rear A 40” x 10” aluminum tread plate step shall be provided at the rear of the unit. The step is to aid in working off the rear of the unit. REAR MODULE The rear module shall be constructed of aluminum tread plate flooring. (No less than .125 thick) The floor structure shall consist of 2 inch by 3 inch aluminum tubing for the floor structure. The bed shall be 59” W x 63” H x 91” L. There shall be a 2” aluminum tubular structure that will support a canvas type roof. The purpose of the design of the rear bed is to allow the ability to fully support a stokes basket or standard cot safely from the accident scene in a safe and stable manner. CANVAS BIMINI ROOF A canvas “bimini” style roof will be installed using Sunbrella canvas material wrapped around the aluminum tubular structure and attached with Marine Velcro sewn into the canvas and glued to the aluminum tubes. BENCH SEAT There shall be installed a 12”W x 20”H x 81”L aluminum tread plate bench seat with a open front and an enclosed back. This seat will have a 2” thick seat pad that covers the full length and is made of foam covered with Sunbrella canvas material. SEAT BACK AND PAD There shall be a seat back made with .125” aluminum tread plate with a 2” seat back pad running the full length of the bench (81’). The seat back pad is made of foam covered with Sunbrella canvas material. * TOOL BOX w/ STOKES BASKET MOUNTING SYSTEM There shall be an aluminum tread plate tool box capable of storing shovels, axes and other fire fighting equipment. The tool box shall be 22” W x 84” L x 15” H. The lid of the tool box shall be designed so that one (1) stokes basket will fit down into the lid. Thus is to allow the hauling of one patient. There shall be a complete set of straps that will secure the stokes basket to the top of the tool box lid. The straps shall consists of one quick release clip at the front and one ratchet strap at the rear. * COT MOUNTING SYSTEM A Stryker Cot mounting system shall be provided in the patient module. IF THE OTHER CHOICE IS ALSO WANTED IT MUST BE PURCHASED AS AN OPTION. LIGHTING STANDARD FEATURES HEADLIGHTS There shall be dual 50 quartz- halogen lamps mounted in the front grill. TAIL LIGHTS Two red taillight bulbs shall be provided and mounted in the tail panel. The lights will illuminate when the ignition key is in the “on” position. TIRES AND WHEELS STANDARD FEATURES CARLISLE OFF-ROAD TIRES There shall be six (6) Carlisle Off-Road tires provided. Two (2) 25x10x12 front and four (4) 25x11x12 tires will be provided.
