Hurst Tool Technique for Removing Doors Simultaneously Effective when: Side impact has the front door pushed up against the victims legs. Front impact has the B-post blocking access to the victim. Anytime removing both doors is necessary. Front door damaged to the point that it is difficult or not possible to force. Getting started: Stabilize the scene, vehicle, and the victim Remove all the vehicle glass With spreaders, force the rear door from the Nader pin/Latch pin Once rear door is forced: Expose the seatbelt mechanism at the bottom of the B-post Place cutters under the mechanism and make as deep of cut as possible into the Bpost Cut the top of the Bpost After cuts are made: With the spreaders, place one tip on the rocker panel and the other near the bottom hinge of the rear door. Start to spread. You may need to readjust the spreaders or make a 2nd cut in the bottom of the B-post End result: Once you begin spreading, the entire B-post should start to rip away from the rocker panel,taking with it the rear door and the front door as one piece
