WonderWorks Field Trip Information Prior To Arrival: 1. Chaperones: In the budget we have provided 1 chaperon for every 10 students, adults that are required for students with 1:1 assistance per their IEP and I extra chaperone per class. For example if you had a class of 28 students with one student requiring a 1:1 assistant, there would be 5 adults that can come free of charge on this trip. All others will be expected to pay the $8.99. 2. Create a rotating schedule that will accommodate lunch and movement through WONDERWORKS. There are 5 zones and I would suggest that you rotate through the zones by class by combining the first 2 zones(Natural Disaster and Physical Fitness Zones) combine the 3rd and 4th zones(Space and Wonder Zones) And the last zone that has enough attractions to stand alone with the bubble room, 4d Theater and other attractions. 3. Make sure all children wear closed-toe shoes. Some of the exhibits require them. 4. Explain the Myth behind WONDERWORKS Myth WonderWorks was once a top secret research laboratory on a remote island in the Bermuda Triangle. As legend has it, the world’s greatest scientists – led by Professor Wonder – were given the task of creating a man-made tornado and harnessing the POWER of it. During this experiment, something went awry and the power of the tornado was unleashed throughout the laboratory. This created a swirling vortex that was strong enough to rip the laboratory from its foundation. It was carried thousands of miles away and landed upside-down on the 3rd level of Destiny USA in Syracuse, New York. Remarkably, all of the experiments remained intact and functional. When you enter the building, everything will be upside-down, so in order to participate in the fun, you must be inverted. Step inside the inversion tunnel and be turned right side up to begin your journey. Description Taken from: WonderWorks Website found at http://www.wonderworksonline.com/destiny Arrival: 1.
