VETERANS MEMORIAL COMPETITION 2011 – Call to Artists!
Milton Cemetery, Milton, MA
A design competition has been established by the Trustees of the Milton Cemetery for a
memorial for the new Garden of Honor, a burial place of honor for veterans and their
spouses. One finalist will be selected from designs submitted for this sculpture/memorial.
The cost of fabricating and installing the winning design will be borne by the Cemetery.
The selected artist will receive compensation in the amount of $2500. for the design.
The cost of fabricating the work of art will be paid for with funds to be raised in a
fundraising campaign for that purpose. The cost of the completed piece should not
exceed $50,000.
September 16th, 2011 is the deadline for submission. There is a $25. entry fee. More
