JOB POSTING Job Title: Site Manager Reports to: Operations Manager Location: Rocky Mount, North Carolina Benefits: Full Benefits Department: Chemical Management Job Type: Full-Time FLSA: Exempt Position Summary The Site Manager is responsible for ongoing site operations and providing supervision and technical assistance at a Chemical Managed Site. Conducts interviews as required Responsibilities/Duties: Oversees CMS Program. Oversees/manages technicians ensuring correct chemicals/amounts used throughout facility including boilers, cooling towers, chillers, plating operations, central systems, CNC’s, washers, and other industrial equipment. Performs any needed testing and tracks via SPC controls. Responsible for product ordering, tracking, reporting, billing, and end of month closing on ERP systems. Oversees shipments ensuring on-time delivery of products/meeting daily demands including working through lead times and changing production environments. Ensure proper inventory cycles level. Evaluates chemical usage to optimize inventory and ordering requirements Acts as liaison between the plant and ChemicoMays to identify/resolve perceived customer problems. Responsible for managing MSDS hosting software use and acting as gatekeeper to products to insure proper review and procedures are followed. Provides leadership and single point of contact for provide most efficient, best service for customer. Performs weekly Waste Inspections for Satellite areas, 90 days waste areas, and chemical container areas Responsible for managing waste inventory and waste consolidation Responsible for Scheduling of Waste Pickups with TSDF Ensures all aspects of the SOW for that plant are met. Handles Monthly and quarterly meetings with plant, and chemical management personnel. Initiates and tracks all projects and reports against productivity improvement requirements. Initiates waste reduction projects. Shares projects and improvements with other ChemicoMays facilities to insure all sites can utilize processes that benefit the respective plants. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Chemistry/Biology/Biochemistry and/or Refinery Engineering preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience in chemical management or waste management or equivalent Minimum 3 years experience in contract construction, negotiation, and application. Possess understanding/decision-making and negotiating skills. Displays awareness/commitment to cost savings and impact of costs on customers. Demonstrates clear understanding of technical aspects of the program. Demonstrates clear understanding of inventory usage, flow, storage and management. Understands accounting principles and is capable in Crystal Reports and MAS Software. Understands importance of plant review of MSDS’s and EHS guidelines for product use and introduction Able to manage (gatekeeper) of MSDS program for chemicals in plant. Thorough knowledge of process chemicals with ability to track and improve performance and cost of use. Provides outstanding customer service and identifies unique needs of each customer Maintains outstanding relationships with Tier 2 suppliers/ management/personnel/company personnel. Demonstrates excellent problem identification/resolution skills. Possesses strong oral/written/interpersonal communication skills. Appropriately prioritizes workload and tasks. Manages workload within conflicting operational demands and tight deadline constraints. Maintains RCRA compliance on waste inventory and satellite accumulation areas Maintains a thorough knowledge of RCRA and DOT compliance for all waste activities. Demonstrates ability to make effective decisions and possesses a positive work ethic Possesses strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and orderly work habits Possesses high level knowledge of spreadsheet and database software Occasional travel possibly required.
