Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Geriatric Psychiatric Program The Geriatric Psychiatry Program inpatient Unit of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center is a 16 bed unit that provides comprehensive treatment in a specially designed setting. The program addresses the special needs of older adults ages 55 and up who may be experiencing a range of psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to: Anxiety Behavioral Disturbances Dementia with mood or behavioral complications Depression Psychosis Memory impairment and/or confusion Sleeping and eating disturbances Withdrawal Hearing or seeing things not present; bizarre thoughts Our multidisciplinary team consists of specially trained professionals experienced in addressing the complex mental health and physical needs of older adults.
